Some of you may have noticed that our entrances are looking better.  We had some several great volunteers turn out for the gardening day and we finished all the entrances before noon.    The most work was done on Fir street at Kenosha/71st.

So thank you to everyone who helped out.

We had the Easter Egg hunt last Saturday and the weather was great.  Had a good turn out, less than last year unfortunately.  But those that attended had a good time.  I appreciate everyone being patient and waiting for others to arrive before we started.

I'm looking at improving this event for next year, so please use the contact page to leave provide any suggestions on how to make this event better.

2015 Annual Meeting Review

3/4/2015

I want to say thanks to those that were able to attend the annual meeting. I enjoyed meeting new people.

We had a special visit from police Chief Boggs. He was able to provide information about the theft and stabbing from last Saturday and that they caught the perpetrators that night thanks to people calling in and one person getting the license plate. He also commented on how he thinks Nextdoor is a great service for neighborhoods and supports it.

There were some changes with the HOA directors so the listing is updated.

We are still needing committee volunteers to help out in different areas, but I will probably change the website to have some more information on this. But the main ones I want to mention now are the welcoming committee to greet people who move in, and also the Events Committee needs some volunteers for the Easter Egg Hunt March 28th. So Please let me know if you would like to help.

I would also like to do a better job with the neighborhood watch, but don't really have a direction to go, so please let me know of any ideas to improve the neighborhood watch. I think the nextdoor website is a great start, but we still only have 88 out of over 900 homes. Lisa Ford was at the meeting and mentioned a "paws on patrol" program the city is starting, and I think she said the first meeting will be April 1st, but I'm not sure and am having trouble finding info right now. But I'm sure she will post something to let everyone know about it. The idea is the will train you on what to watch out for while you walk your dog so you can report any suspicious activity. And maybe that is something the neighborhood watch needs, just some training on what to watch for.

Please join the nextdoor site and message or call me if you are interested in volunteering.

2015 Annual Meeting

This is really exciting for me.  The plans for this meeting are to bring your family, and there will be pizza available while it lasts.  We haven't done this before, so we aren't too sure about numbers.  Top That Pizza is providing the food for free to us, so please support them by stopping by sometime.  They are next to our neighborhood in the shopping center at 71st and Aspen on the West side.

We are still working out the smaller details, but the plan is to meet on March 3rd at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria at Peter's Elementary.  We will have a guest speaker, Russell Grey who is the code enforcement manager for Broken Arrow.  Also we will hold elections for the Associate Board.

We have also reserved the gym at the school for the kids to have an area to play during the meeting.

Please attend, and talk to your neighbors and let them know too.

Look forward to seeing you there.
